LCS '07 Donates $100,000 For Cystic Fibrosis Research/CureEach year the Ohio Cobra Club produces a multi-day show in London, Ohio, called the London Cobra Show. Most of the proceeds from the event go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which is researching to find a cure for the disease. The 2007 check presentation ceremony was held at the Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. This facility has an entire wing devoted to treating kids with CF. In '07, the Ohio Cobra Club contributed $100,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation-over three times the amount they donated in 2006, and the most ever! The club also contributed to the London Fire Department, the London Police Department, and the Madison County DARE programs. In an effort to raise even more money at the next LCS, the Ohio Cobra Club is already selling tickets for the raffle Cobra for the 2008 event. Some lucky ticket holder is going to win this beautiful jet black Superformance Cobra Mk III roadster. Visit www.ohiocobraclub.com to purchase raffle tickets. Great job, Ohio Cobra Club! KIT CAR looks forward to being a part of the 2008 London Cobra Show.
Dragon Motor Cars' New C5 Sport RodDragon Motor Cars is proud to announce the availability of its newest kit, the C5 aluminum Sport Rod. For the foundation of its innovative new sports car, Dragon developed an aluminum semi-monocoque chassis to accept the drivetrain and running gear from one of the world's best sports cars, the 1997-2004 Corvette. At its track debut at the 2007 Run 'N' Gun, the T-bucket-bodied Sports Rod won all three events: auto cross, drag racing, and road racing-all with the stock suspension and drivetrain, and street tires! A new Super Car is born. Because the body on the Sport Rod is just a decorative shell, Dragon Motor Cars is developing several interchangeable bodies. Currently, two bodies are available-a hot rod 1923 T-bucket that's featured in this very issue of KC, and the 1958 Lister-inspired Speedster pictured here. You can change from one body style to the other in one hour! The next body on the drawing board is a Lotus Super Seven replica, followed by a '01 Panoz Lemans Prototype and a '35 Chevy Coupe.
