Collegiate Power Challange Engine
The Houston team scored the highest in the subjective category based on the observations of six judges, and Houston's engine compartment helped in that scoring. The Egyptian Lady (the name the Houston campus gave their car) used a 302 in near stock configuration. Comp Cams supplied the valvetrain, and Summit Racing was used for some of the external parts. On the dyno, the V-8 pulled 375.55 horsepower, good enough for second place in that category.
