 The Houston team scored the...  The Houston team scored the highest in the subjective category based on the observations of six judges, and Houston's engine compartment helped in that scoring. The Egyptian Lady (the name the Houston campus gave their car) used a 302 in near stock configuration. Comp Cams supplied the valvetrain, and Summit Racing was used for some of the external parts. On the dyno, the V-8 pulled 375.55 horsepower, good enough for second place in that category. |  Houston also took second in... Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners obviously helped the Houston team take first in the 60-to-0 brake test, covering the distance in 101.68 feet. |  A Painless Wiring toggle switch...  A Painless Wiring toggle switch control board keeps everything nice and tidy on the Houston vehicle's dash. Under the tunnel is a T-5 transmission that was previously used in the '87 Mustang donor car. |  With the chromed five-spokes...  With the chromed five-spokes and deep blue paint, it just looks like a hot rod, doesn't it? 4.10:1 gears and Superior axles found their way into the Houston car's rearend. |
