 North American Exotic Replica...  North American Exotic Replica Cars made the 2,500-plus-mile trip from their base of operations in Canada with their well-made Diablo replicars. Highly accurate to the original, you can use many Lambo parts on the NAERC bodies without modification. The green Diablo in the NAERC booth, owned by Ken Esler, won the AHA's Secretary's Award. With a special appearance from FFR owner Dave Smith, the Factory Five booth was the place to be Saturday evening before the FFROG (Factory Five Racing Owners Group) left the show site en masse and headed down to a Huntington Beach burger stand more than 25 miles away. By all accounts, this was a great addition to the weekend's activities.  There were 12 entries in the...  There were 12 entries in the Porsche Speedster Over $20,000 class, including Rayner Marx's sexy 2006 Intermeccanica 356. Top up or down, this was one sharp-looking vehicle.  Sharp! That's the only way...  Sharp! That's the only way to describe Shawn Gaydos' '61 Ferrari California Spyder 250 GT. Shawn nabbed first in the Ferrari Over $20,000 class.  Kreative Rodwerks, based in...  Kreative Rodwerks, based in Phoenix, AZ, offers a Studebaker-inspired pickup kit for the S-10 chassis. This was the first time the company attended the Knott's show, and they also won the event's Street Rod Manufacturer's trophy.  Think all Cobras look alike?...  Think all Cobras look alike? Think again, and then check out all the red accents on Ken Bush's FFR roadster. The concept was carried through to the engine compartment, too.  John Steele of JPS has been...  John Steele of JPS has been talking about building a 356 coupe for some time, and it looks like now is the time! Fresh out of its mold, John admitted there was more work to be done before he'd consider his coupes roadworthy, but it appears he already has most of the hard work done.  The black paint on Chris Ward's...  The black paint on Chris Ward's Midstates roadster was so deep you could almost swim in it, and one of the reasons why Chris collected first place in the 427 Cobra Between $40-50K class.  A living legend, Bruce Meyers...  A living legend, Bruce Meyers said he was honored to receive the show's Good Manufacturing Practice trophy. There were also a handful of original Meyers Manx dune buggies in attendance, too, plus Meyer's latest offering, the Manxster.  Though the '70s Car Corral...  Though the '70s Car Corral was supposed to highlight kits and replicars of the past, it turned into an impromptu Kellison reunion as a handful of the unique '70-era kits showed up.  Another great-looking car...  Another great-looking car that could have been entered in the '70s Corral was Darren Freidman's '79 Kellison Stallion, which also happened to pick up third place in the 427 Cobra Between $40-50K class. Not bad for a kit more than 25 years old!  Here's the chassis for the...  Here's the chassis for the two roadsters (competition and touring) made by JBL Motorsports out of Fallbrook, CA, featuring independent suspension front (with inboard coilovers) and rear, Wilwood discs on each corner, and a safety-oriented fuel cell out back. Looks like a serious chassis for serious performance.  Thirteen vehicles were entered...  Thirteen vehicles were entered in the Under Construction class, the largest division outside the Cobra classes. KIT CAR's editor, Eric Geisert, received second place in the category for his California Hauler Willys project truck, which is currently being featured in a series of build-up articles in the magazine. What is it about a quad set of Weber IDAs that is so appealing to every gearhead out there...  ...This was the setup in Tim...  ...This was the setup in Tim Terry's red FFR Mk III roadster, which was just as nice outside as his engine compartment.  A '68 Bradley GT for $5,000?...  A '68 Bradley GT for $5,000? The show's swap meet area was small, but that didn't mean you couldn't find something to take home.  If you attend shows around...  If you attend shows around the country, then you've seen a lot of Special Edition's Chamonix 550 Spyders, which is offered with a watercooled 2.0-liter motor.  Vintage Wheels is based in...  Vintage Wheels is based in Southern California and offers some great wheel designs. The FA on the left is a five-pin wheel and comes in 18-inch diameters. The BRM on the right is a 15-incher in five- or six-pin varieties, but expect a 17-incher soon. Their special adapter can be used with most wheel patterns.  Russ Thompson's FFR Type 65...  Russ Thompson's FFR Type 65 coupe has been around for a year or so, but it is still one of the most stunning vehicles out there, which is why it was chosen as this year's recipient of KIT CAR Magazine's Editor's Choice. You just can't say enough about the car's azure blue paint and meticulous attention to build quality and detail. The car also won first in the 289 Cobra/Daytona Coupe class as well as Best Of Show. Great job, Russ!  KIT CAR readers may remember...  KIT CAR readers may remember Don Geisen's '34 Frazer Nash from the November '05 issue. Built on a VW chassis, Don has continued to tweak and perfect his ride, and he picked up first place in the Sports Under $10,000 class for his efforts.  Here was an interesting deal....  Here was an interesting deal. A 289 Hi Tech chassis plus all inner panels, a trunk tray, foot boxes, an all-aluminum body made from the original, plus a set of Trigo aluminum wheels, all for $10,000. Hey, everybody needs at least one project, right?
