Kit Car Owners Cover Their Project Cars In Stars And Stripes To Show Support For Their Country
July is a good month to show ones loyalty to America. Nothing seems to excite red-blooded Americans more than 4th of July fireworks. Since the re-awakening of American spirit due to the horrific events of September 11th, 2001, this nation has pulled together in many patriotic ways.
One melding of that patriotism with the kit car world is in automotive detailing and cosmetics, as many owners have outfitted their cars with American flag decals, and some kit car owners have joined together to parade cars that make up the three colors of our flag. Some have decked out their cars with paint jobs that would make Francis Scott Key and Betsy Ross proud. What follows are four homages to America, our flag, and our impenetrable spirit, as provided by the kit car genre.
As a continuing show of respect to America and the car owners who take pride in their homeland, we will include those great paint jobs and creative decal and detail work that show off American patriotism, as they are obtained by Kit Car magazine. To show off your American spirit, send your best, crisp, clear photos or slides of your U.S.-themed car along with information on your body manufacturer, chassis design, and under-the-hood power to: American Spirit, Kit Car magazine, 46 Gregory St., Lake Linden, MI 49945. We will run the best of the best and show the world what American kit car owners are made of. While one of the following photos was altered in Photoshop, and another had computer enhancements, we ask that all the photos from now on are real, honest, and true, without any computer alterations.
