The annual Run 'N Gun event is coming to Gateway International Raceway, in Madison, Illinois, from October 11 - 13, 2007. All replicas are eligible to compete as long as the vehicle and driver are safe.
Run 'N' Gun is a three-day event consisting of road course, autocross, and drag strip venues. All events are "time only", meaning that racers compete against the clock, not other participants (except on the drag strip).
Numerous practice sessions as well as timed lap runs will take place throughout the three action-packed days. For the second year in a row, a Wednesday event on October 10 has been scheduled for Run 'N' Gun 2007. Should you choose, there will be a car "set up" seminar, including scales that will be used to advise you on how to best set your car for maximum performance. Wednesday afternoon, cars will be allowed on the track for additional practice.
If you are a new comer to track events, there is a class especially for the "novice". If you have little or no track experience, this may be the start of your new hobby. You won't have to compete against seasoned drivers in this class. Instruction and suggestions are yours for the asking from some of the best.
Think you might want to drive the track under controlled, non-competition sessions? Run 'N Gun now offers "controlled speed" sessions for you to get the feel of your car on the track without the fear.
Run 'N Gun 2007 has something for everyone. There will also be a dinner and awards presentation on Friday evening. Don't miss this event and all of the fun, friends and experiences associated with it. For more information, contact Run 'N Gun organizer, Jay Nordstrom, (972) 742-2594, or visit www.runngun.net.
