Ecocat Steering Column Installation - Steered in the Right Direction

After significant trimming and fitting, the final version of the two-piece cover smooths the break from the firewall to the cover.  To achieve a finished look...  To achieve a finished look for the firewall, a slit must be cut in it to accommodate existing lines.  Rather than spend time doing...  Rather than spend time doing the final fiberglass work on the steering column mount, it will be done during the other fiberglass modifications. A quick examination of the "look" of the modifications is achieved by simply masking the area and the column.  Next, a quick shot of rattle... Although the shaft is slightly angled to reach the rack, the wheel turns flawlessly, without the slightest hint of binding.  After the turbo plumbing is...  After the turbo plumbing is attached, the installation is complete.  With the Flaming River column...  With the Flaming River column and linkage installed on the Ecocat, steering feel is solid and smooth. Only final exhaust routing, gas pedal installation, and latching mechanisms for the tilt front end remain before the car will be disassembled and prepped for paint at Nelson's Custom Paint.
